A New Dawn for Oriade Students: Historic Bursary Disbursement and Empowerment Initiative by Hon. Kanmi Ajibola

On behalf of the Oriade Student Union, I extend sincere appreciation to Honourable Barr. Kanmi Ajibola, the distinguished Member representing Oriade Local Government at the Osun State House of Assembly, for his outstanding financial support to students across our local government.


It seems just like yesterday when I led a delegation of the Oriade Student Union to his office at the House of Assembly to present three key requests: *bursaries for students, an entrepreneurship summit, and ICT employment opportunities*. 

With humility and commitment, Hon. Kanmi Ajibola promised to work on fulfilling these pressing needs — and true to his word, he delivered.


Friday, 15th August 2025, marked a historic moment in Oriade’s educational landscape. 

For the first time ever, a serving member of the House of Assembly from Oriade facilitated bursary disbursements to students.

 But the day didn’t end there, it also featured a robust entrepreneurship training session for attendees. In one single event, *two out of our three key demands* were met. A milestone worth celebrating by all.


We also acknowledge and deeply appreciate *Honourable Ademola Asaju*, the Immediate Past Chairman of Oriade South LCDA, for his unwavering support from inception to execution of this laudable program. May God Almighty continue to bless and strengthen you, sir.


This is more than a victory, it is a step forward for educational and youth development in Oriade.


Congratulations to all the beneficiaries. The future begins now.
