PRESS STATEMENT BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS (NAPS) ON FRSC DIRECTIVES TO IMPOYUND STUDENT VEHICLES.

February 5th, 2025 The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), in unwavering solidarity with our sister body, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), condemns in the strongest terms the directive issued by the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, instructing officers to impound vehicles belonging to NANS structures nationwide. This directive is not only reckless and provocative but also an outright declaration of war on Nigerian students. We consider this an insult to the collective integrity of the student movement, and we will not stand idly by while our rights are trampled upon. Mobility is a fundamental necessity for our advocacy and representation, and any attempt to cripple our movement is a direct assault on the students of this nation.
